The name Kali means Time, because time destroys all in the end. Kali is the Goddess of Destruction, the angry aspect of the mother goddess, Uma. Kali has another name, Muldakesi, which means complete freedom. The word Kali also means black, and Kali's color is black, the absolute black of the void.
